Dr. Allison Mattison is a clinical psychologist who works primarily with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She provides both therapy and psychological evaluations, taking a structured, evidence-based approach to treatment.
She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while developing practical strategies to manage symptoms and improve daily functioning.

Dr. Mattison has a strong interest in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Exposure Therapy for treating anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Her work supports individuals in building coping skills, reducing avoidance, and developing greater confidence in managing difficult emotions and experiences.
Psychological Evaluations
In addition to therapy, Dr. Mattison conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations to clarify diagnostic presentations and better understand cognitive and emotional functioning. These evaluations may assess intellectual abilities, learning differences, ADHD, and other areas that impact academic and daily performance.
Background & Experience
Dr. Mattison earned her undergraduate degree from Boston College and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on children and adolescents, from the University of Hartford.
She has worked in a range of settings, including outpatient and inpatient programs as well as a clinical day treatment school.
Teaching & Supervision
Dr. Mattison also provides supervision and training to postdoctoral psychologists and clinical psychology doctoral students, supporting the development of future clinicians.
